Universal Coupling for Cranes

Crane universal couplings are mainly used for the outer set, the half shaft and the inner cover, the spherical roll, and the articulation of the outer set.

The universal crane coupling, the half-shaft coupling, and the bores in the outer kit are required to carry the radial transmission force by means of the transmitted torque. The adjustment of the bearings complements the angular movement of the Cardan shaft and the line and is similar in construction to the flexible coupling. In the case of the half-shaft mounted universal coupling, the external strength of the coupling is used to connect the operating torque and the load-bearing spherical surfaces to each other. The universal coupling has the ability to complement the movement of both axes, is compact, lighter, and more reliable, and is easy to assemble and simple to construct.
In the construction of the universal coupling, the transmission and speed selection of the reel articulation to complete the gear articulation, with a bearing to support or a similar shaft to support the point.

Universal coupling is generally used for lighter lifting categories, more compact structure, more morphology, and processing and preparation, not convenient and crane equipment, open universal coupling gear transmission.
They are used for the heavier lifting devices, with tighter structure and more messy morphology.
For the time consumed in processing and preparation, do not use some lifting devices with larger load capacity. For gear transmission, it is generally used in the lifting devices with larger load capacity to reduce the speed, and then increase the gap between the motor device and the inner part of the reel.
The gears of the universal coupling will easily become ineffective due to frictional damage, and the coupling using gears will result in a longer barrel line and a heavier structure.
Secondly, a static or super-static coupling with a universal coupling requires a longer shaft, and the dimensions can be stretched, but there are problems with disassembly.
